CAT A & B

Bourne End, Buckinghamshire

Laidlaw Estates

Laidlaw Estates wanted to upgrade all services to one of its existing buildings on an industrial estate in Bourne End, Buckinghamshire. The incumbent tenants were to move out and Bridgegate Electrical’s brief was to replace all the electrical services. Half of the building was to be taken straight to CAT B for a returning tenant whilst the other half was to be presented as CAT A for prospective tenants to view. The project was split into two phases. The first phase focused on the returning tenant and taking the space to CAT B while the second phase focused on the unoccupied part of the building. A temporary generator was hired to provide power for the site whilst the incoming LV Switch panel was replaced. Car park lighting and surrounding amenity lighting was upgraded and added respectively to help provide the complex with a more modern and welcoming feel. Halfway through the CAT A installation a tenant was found for the ground floor unoccupied space. An intense design period followed to make sure the client’s requirements were met and the project was delivered within the required construction timeframe.
